$7500 XLT discount?

Someone posted this Detroit Free Press article, which mentions a $7500 discount on Lariets AND XLTs? Has anyone seen this anywhere else? I know the XLT currently has a $1500 discount, which is nice, but $7500 off an XLT would be amazing!

Seems very much like just a mistake to me. Every other source has $1500 for XLT.

I suspect it's a mistake (for now) because he failed to mention platinums which I think actually do get the 7500. Ford updates incentives roughly start of month so check back early next month and see if XLT gets tossed in.

I do wonder if it was a mistake, mentioning XLT and Lauriat, without mentioning Platinum, but the article correctly did mention other XLT facts/prices. It makes "some" sense to do $7500 across the board, but I can't imagine them doing it without any lightning advertising campaigns to try to boost sales, and many months before the 2024 lightning models will be available. If they sell out everything now at big discounts, there's no dealer stock of anything until 2024s ship.

Still, if someone was just about to take delivery on an XLT (like I am) it makes sense to put them off a few days, and see if the XLT incentives are "officially" announced.

Nothing official on any ford site I can find.

I suspect the article was mainly as an unofficial leak to the press, to help UAW negotiations.

It's on the dealer website. And bad news. Looks like they changed the incentives as of 3 days ago.

I received the lariat $7500 incentive on my delivery last week. Waited 25 months for delivery from reservation, lucky day for me! And I’ll get the $7500 tax incentive in April. Don’t forget the 5k msrp price reduction that occurred in August.
