Don't wait. And, as others have said, $7500 of that $15,000 is the Federal Tax Credit on the spot rebate. Make sure you will have $7,500 of fed tax liability in 2023.

I think you mean 2024. I know we are all still doing our 2023 taxes — CRUNCH TIME!

Kind of. Oregon has imposed a tax at point of sale for all vehicle sales. It's not as much as other states, but it's there.

This is my first post in this forum, but I've been checking out all the great info for a while. I've been on the fence about purchasing a 2023 Lightning XLT extended range, and have been to a few dealerships here in California. It seems like there are still a fair amount of 2023's around, so I was wondering if anyone had opinions or experience as to what might happen when the $15000 discount expires April 2. Would Ford sweeten the offers, or would it be better to pull the trigger before April 2. I realize nobody probably knows for sure, but any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I just bought a Lariat last week. Got a dealer discount of $8000 in addition to the rebates and 1.9% for 36 months. For me it was the risk the truck, $5000 rebate and 1.9 % would not be available if I waited.

Hello, Thanks for all the replies! I went ahead and purchased the XLT extended range yesterday, and got the $7500 Ford discount, the $7500 tax credit applied to the purchase, plus an additional $4k dealer discount.
I’ll be back to complain if they increase the discounts tomorrow. Just kidding

I kicked tires on the Lightning for over a year and finally bought one in January. Judging from Ford's pricing history, $7500 is the max incentive they will offer. The finance rates have been offered off and on, last time around the cash incentive was not combined with the financing offer. I think your timing was perfect, since inventory is dwindling. Enjoy!

Best offer I’ve gotten on our Lariat SR for trade in was a possible 43k.

We purchased a white 2023 XLT ER in March for $50,990 before TTLR. It has the tow tech package, spray-in bed liner, mobile charge cord and all-weather floor mats. Dealer incentive was $8k off, pus $7,500 Ford manufacturer incentive and $7,500 tax credit, for a total of $23k off MSRP.

Living in Wisconsin, the ER gives us extra flexibility with our crazy cold and sometimes windy weather up here. I like all of the physical buttons with the still large touch screen on the XLT too.
