Anyone have Siri Shortcuts for climate start working in 2025?

It looks like start. My vehicle is now a native shortcut. However, it’s unable to bypass iPhone security so if you use Siri, your phone has to be unlocked, which is ridiculous because I tried using it from the watch. It does not work. It only works from an unlocked iPhone. However, on that same watch, I can open the app and start the climate. Come on Ford.

Directly would be nice, to avoid any “repercussions” from Ford.

Oh no connected car is a closed network. So you need a token from them for your authentication and an API gateway, but it’s a Ford gateway and from what I understand that gateway no longer works.

The OEM solution is perfect except all of these shortcuts are pre-programmed to ignore the ability to be action without the iPhone unlocked which sucks

Oh, thats too bad, but probably safest.

I have a carplay shortcut that pauses the music as soon as carplay is detected, phone locked or not.

But by that time it would be way too late.

Maybe this has been mentioned, but you can create a custom wallpaper for your Lock Screen with the FordPass widget. I pick up my phone and touch the widget and it opens immediately. It actually doesn’t appear to unlock my iPhone. The only thing you can do with voice in iPhone is just lock and unlock natively. Alexa, on the other hand, I use all the time at home to start the truck to have it cool down before I hop in.

You can trigger the start by voice in Siri now, too, as of the last app update. The issue is the way it handles security. Makes it unusable by voice on any device other than my iPhone, which is not my workflow. I pick up my watch and say... Tesla did this just fine. And like I said, that same watch triggers an action button to open the FordPass app, and I can tap start all day without needing to unlock. It's dumb.
