Recently I had my GSM replaced under warranty. Coincidentally, or not, now when I shift into reverse my audio source changes. My primary example is as follows:

In drive using CarPlay and listening to music / podcast on Spotify -> Shift into reverse -> Audio Source is now Sirius/XM.

I have done the Sync reset via the steering wheel but the issue persists. I have not disconnected 12v yet. I'll continue troubleshooting.

Sounds like a carplay problem.

For all practical purposes, I never listen to streamed audio from my phone. I do listed to stuff on AM, FM, and XM and have never had a problem with it changing sources unexpectedly. The only odd one is sometimes when changing preset list stations using the button on the steering wheel, it will show that the station changed, but actually be somewhere else (usually one preset over from where I intended).

Where do you keep your phone are you touching it by mistake?
Are you hitting a button on your steering wheel by mistake?
I have noticed a few issues with the latest public release iOS(non beta) but that is not one of them?
That’s all I got!

i have a similar experience that happens right after start up and i place the vehicle in to reverse as well. I have a usb drive with music on it that i listen to as my default, if i put the vehicle in reverse before the music on my usb drive starts to play the source will change to FM radio. in addition occasionally the infotainment system is unable to find the usb on start up. this will self correct after restarting the vehicle.

I usually keep my phone in one of the cup holders. I'm pretty sure I didn't touch the phone or steering wheel buttons but it's possible. To your point I am running ios 26 beta (whatever the latest and greatest version is).

Strange.
Now I'm going to have to see if that happens in my 2023 Pro with an SSD plugged in to the USB.
A bug in the programming somewhere.
Going into reverse changes the screen to rear view and overhead view on the screen, must be some programming step that crosses that screen change with a sources change.
Could be worse I guess, oh well.
