Backup Passcode Failure

Funny thing is my PAAK has never failed me….…yet…
I’ve forgotten my fob many times and never missed it until I get AirTag alert saying fob keychain left behind. I use the door keypad to lock truck 99% of time.
PAAK unlocks as I reach for door handle.
Between the watch or phone app I’m usually covered. So do you this I figured I’d test my backup password to start vehicle and that’s when recently I realized Houston we have a problem lol.
I’ve just been reluctant to don’t fix it if it ain’t broke on the backup password issue.
lol we will see, if I get bored enough and remember I’ll share my luck back if I get a resolution figured out.

How did your backup start passcode 'fail'? I just tried it and there was no 'keypad' to type in my passcode. Hmm?

Sometimes it takes several seconds for the keyboard to show, tap inside the section where the characters would appear when you eventually do see the keyboard, that seems to prompt it faster for me.
