Are you over the 3 year mark? That cluster should be covered under that warranty, shouldn't have to spend the deductible on the extended.

Although I purchased my 2022 Lariat in December 2022, I bought the "mannequin" at my local dealership and Ford shows the in-service date of my truck as June 2022 (so the three years have passed).

Buying the mannequin was the only way I could take delivery of a Lightning in calendar 2022 and thereby qualify for the $7500 tax credit under the old rules...

What are you talking about? I was replying to the op about base warranty inservice date and you're talking about clothing store props.

A mannequin was the term used for dealer demos that after a certain amount of time passed, could be sold as a regular vehicle. Like service loaners, the in-service data started the day the vehicle begun to be used as a demo and not the day it was retailed.

I gotta drink my coffee before I post ugh.. lol Deleted mistake. Never heard of a vehicle being called that, we always called them "Demos or Demonstrators"

Well the dealer installed a new instrument cluster and the truck seems good as new. Due to the extended warranty it cost me only $100...
