They came back on this morning ... I tried rebooting and everything yesterday to no avail. It is obviously a software issue. Anyone any ideas what would cause this?
Do you mean these ports?

Have you tried wiggling the input to see if it’s connection issue? I have these and apparently these are very crappy usb outlets from what I’ve read online and have been known to fail. Mine I have to wiggle it into position to get it to connect, but then it is very loose and will disconnect if i don’t hold it in place.

Here’s a video to replace it if this is the one you’re talking about:

I have the same issue. Both USB media ports are now dead. Did it require a module and if so which one?
I am sorry, I thought I updated this issue. Dealership changed the module AND did not test it afterwards. When I got home the ports were still dead. Eventually the cable going under the passenger seat was replaced for the fix. See attached.

Wow.. sounds about right!!

Thanks for the update. It seems to be working again now, so it appears to be a software issue. I guess I will keep an eye on it !

I use those ports every day but yesterday after work they were just dead. On the way to work they were fine. So I tried the sync soft-reset and they immediately started working again. Weird.

Right?! Mine have not been a problem since. What did you do to reset just in case?

Soft reset, by pressing steering wheel buttons Volume Down and Next Song and holding at same time for about 5 seconds.

I had the same symptoms (front USB C and USB A ports did not work); however, this was the next morning after I installed a magsafe charger/holder. A Sync reset (pressing steering wheel Volume Down and Next Song for about 5 seconds) fixed the issue.

I've never had this issue before. Was it just coincidence or did the magsafe charger/holder goof something up?
