Hey everyone — looking for help or confirmation from other Lightning owners.

I’ve been trying to set a 90% target charge for battery longevity at home using FordPass (or in vehicle settings, too), but for some reason, my home charger doesn’t show up as a selectable charge location anymore. Because of that, I can’t assign a target charge percentage — it always defaults to 100%.

I’ve had my Lightning for about 2.5 years now, and this feature used to work, but it stopped showing my home as a valid charge location sometime about 6 months ago (I didn’t note the exact time, but it’s been a while). Nothing’s changed with my setup.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:
  • Home address is correctly saved in vehicle navigation
  • I’ve charged at this home location many times (ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2)
  • Tried unplugging/replugging during an active session
  • Deleted and re-added my home address in both SYNC and FordPass
  • Rebooted the vehicle and the charger
  • Fully filled out address in ChargePoint app
  • Logged out/in of FordPass
  • Even tested backend behavior using developer tools to confirm it’s not user error

So far, @Ford Motor Company support hasn’t been helpful — just basic app troubleshooting and no escalation. Has anyone else run into this where FordPass no longer recognizes your home as a valid charge location, even after successful charging there?

Would love to hear if you’ve seen this — especially if you’ve found a workaround or got it resolved. Thanks in advance.

Setting your home location as an address in Navigation is irrelevant. The steps to follow are:

1) Charge for a few minutes at home.
2) In the truck, go into Charging and you should see the location and be able to save it as Home, and set times and limit.

Don't even think about doing this in FordPass.

Have you tried disconnecting the 12v for a few minutes?

To rule out a modem issue, are you successful at say a remote start when not in Bluetooth range?

Just got this from ford

As a result of your feedback, you have helped us discover an impact to Charge Settings being erased, including charge preferences and pre-saved locations. While we work to solve this via a software update, here is what you can do on your end:

1. Delete your vehicle from the FordPass app (This will remove your Phone-as-key – have your fob close by!)

2. Add your vehicle back to the FordPass app

3. Follow the Ford authorization / activation instructions

4. Re-apply your charge settings and any other connectivity feature settings that were lost.

It works!
