The FCSP uses L2 J1772 for charging it cannot charge using the DC pins - it only uses the DC pins for the HIS (Home Integration System) to access the HV battery to power a home - when it works which is not very often from what the posts say about the HIS.I thought the FCSP wouldn't start a charge if the vehicle doesn't support CCS signaling, so some older cars with J1772 ports were not compatible. Is this wrong?
CCS1 incorporates the J1772 for L2 charging.
This is the CCS1 pin out:
Combined Charging System combo 1 (CCS1) connector: builds on the J1772 standard adding two additional pins for DC fast charging up to 350 kW - this was what the power limit was when I copied the info however it depends on the DC fast charger and the capability of the vehicle.
