I had the Service Battery Warning appear last week. This was after driving for one hour at highway speeds. Temps in low 20's. The next day charged 12v for 24 hours on trickle and battery read good charge when removing. Did reset and everything looked good. A day later brought in to dealer for 20,000 mile service and told them of issue.

After 24 hours I called to check and was told tech just started 6 hours earlier. Called back and was told 12v was fine and they were talking to Ford engineers because they were getting "conflicting codes". 24 hours later I called and no updates. I hope they left it outside for the weekend to assess 12v on Monday. Temps in teens.

Searched forum for "conflicting codes" and did not find any threads. Any thoughts on what's going on and what can't Ford engineers determine are problem with 2 days of work?

Your dealer doesn't know how to recognize what are actual problem codes vs superfluous codes cause by the original failure.

Troubleshooting is a learned skill.

I'd like to think this was a service advisor issue and not a tech issue. I'd venture to say it's nearly impossible to get active conflicting codes. Say HVB Voltage High and HVB Voltage Low. One of them is not true. But one could be stored, and one could be active. That being said, a module could be high and a different module could be low. This is just an example, but I'd love to see the actual codes given.
