Only one right answer. Flip both. Use proceeds to buy the Hummer EV.

I am in similar situation, ordered Model X and Lightning last May. Expecting my wife and I need two vehicles. But no we won't go back to office, at most once a week, and daughter is getting her permit so she can drive prius to school. We only put 3000 miles on the only other vehicle, Honda Odyssey.

Model X EDD (estimated delivery date) is 8/31 - 10/26, and Lightning build date is 8/15. So I should get them at the same time.

If we keep both Model X and Lightning, they will end up siting in garage and each get close to 2000 miles per year. Really cannot justify. It is a super tough decision which one to keep. But given current situation, I will take deliveries first. Flipping anyone can return at least $10k.
Yes, same boat here with how much I drive now since working from home.

That is a tough choice! Have you driven either model yet? I know Lightning mannequins have just started showing up, so maybe not.

Funny, how Ford delivery varies so much and leaves a lot of unpredictability.

I ordered the Mustang Mach E in the same month as the Lightning figuring the MME will arrive first.

WRONG - Lightning is showing up next month while the MME is still in order stage.

May not see the MME until 2023....

Neither. So I guess I would take delivery to find out. Wife wants X and I definitely love Lightning.

2022 Lightning (Ordered 6/19, delivered 10/28/22)
I sold my 2 door Bronco two weeks ago for a $12k profit after having it six months. I have four more on the way. Two 2 doors, one 4 door, one Raptor. I'll end up keeping the last 2 door - hopefully for free!
Just curious..what did you find to be the best resale method? Do you use carvana, vroom? Or do you list on message boards? How do you ensure valid payment?

I don't want to get in the car flipping business, but the problem is you have to make reservation so early to get anything--often before you ever see it in person or test drive it. Would like to have options if I get something and then don't like it. I just feel like I'm flying bling in this weird market...

Right now I have reservations/pre orders for:

Lightning
Fisker Ocean
Rivian R1T
Silverado EV

I've seen the Lightning, rode in one at the auto show..feel pretty confident. All the others are a toss up...

My 2dr non sas badlands manual got around 18mpg in mixed city and highway driving. Added Sasquatch wheels and tires and suspension and it fell to the low 17s. Power is good, but mileage is just weak, even if you try to drive it easy.

The cool factor, and off road ability is just off the charts though.

2.7? Or the 4-cyl? I was reading those with automatic did a little better for some reason in real-world driving.
I drive like an old person and get pretty good gas mileage typically. Not over 65, slow takeoffs, etc. lol

It is a really cool car though. can’t wait to see it in person!

I was telling my wife Model X or F150, whichever comes first, we keep it. At the time F150 has a build date as 8/15 and Model X EDD was December to April.

This afternoon I received MX vin and EDD was changed to 6/2 - 6/6. Now how to persuade her.
