It has been very quiet in the July & August build weeks, I expect to hear more as many folks get a build week assignment hopefully next week.
I love your order tracker version spreadsheet @TaxmanHog !

Because of your list, I noticed of the ones delivered, all but 2 were Lariat trims.
All were ER battery.

Do you think that Ford is pushing out the Lariats ahead of other trims based on those that ordered early on with Pro or XLT ?

Don't forget Lariat trims make up probably well over 50% of their production as well as likely one of the highest profits (maybe slightly below platinum, but I believe those have parts problems.)

They are definitely kicking the pros/XLT down the road constantly. A few might be sneaking through but the majority of us keep being bumped. I’d rather not get a date than have it change for the worse 6 times so far.

It seems that other than a few outliers everything built up to the 5/30 build week were ER models. The week of 5/30 has about 60% SR models.

About 75% of the models ordered were ER’s. Nearly all of the SR models were ordered in waves 1 and 2 so Ford has disregarded wave order positioning.

I don’t have any idea why the early ER focus. Maybe it was to streamline the production line and get efficiencies up? Or maybe it was to get better range models out there for the early owner reviews? Or something else?

Yes, I find it confusing why Ford seems to be pushing out Lariat trims more than others.
This last wave 7 from dealers to find out if reservation holders would buy a Lariat ER or SR is strange too...
Will these wave 7 jump ahead of waves 1-6 ??

I honestly think waves no longer matter at this point. They are clearly prioritizing higher dollar builds and will be sending them to states that issue ZEV credits. The scheduling is problematic right now with chips/ transport issues. Time will tell what happens. Just hope to get your truck by December 31st so you get that full $7,500 tax credit!

That is a possibility, though in the auto trader study, we have a bunch of SR trucks in various trims with F001 (Demo) order numbers that have been scheduled for delivery, as well a token amount of Special Order (retail orders), so they are working them still.

I've got 142 entries on the tracker who have NOT been scheduled yet, I hope that many of you see a BUILD WEEK assignment some time this week

Would love to finally get a build date 4 months after placing the order. Then, I can join everyone in the next stage of the uncertainty of the changing build weeks.
In any case, since the plan is to change over to MY 23 in Oct, I've resigned myself to getting the truck at the latest in November.

Can't help but notice that your reservation date on the order list is in June... Maybe Ford is prioritizing orders by reservation? One can hope....

...I reserved on 5/20, and recently heard that there are 22 people ahead of me at my dealership and they got 6 this year, so I shouldn't hold my breath for 2023. Be glad you got to jump the queue.

The reservation time stamp and dealer priority allowed a lucky group a chance to place an order. While my reservation was two weeks after the first day, I happened to be a lucky position on the list at my dealer and got a wave 4 invite. It would appear that Ford spread out the order invites based on a bunch of factors for each wave. It would make sense that since Ford already spread out the reservations they complete the builds by the waves. But sadly that hasn't happened as some early wave numbers have not received a build date as of yet.

Can imagine this whole process will repeat itself for MY 2023 :(

Just to make everyone feel worse, I was just reading a thread on the Mach-e forums of someone still waiting for delivery of their 2021 Mach-e. Chip hold, shipment delays and now this new recall hold means they are still waiting.

And if they need private financing, the rates will be at least 2 percent higher now than 9 months ago....

It’s gonna be luck of the draw people. I’m 4/20 blend, I’m on chip hold, but you all are reading the same posts as me. . . . Deliveries keep coming from all the weeks.
im thinking I should jump on my23 orders, might have better chance of taking delivery on those with mnfg to begin octoberish..

btw today is Wednesday, supposed to wait until thursday to be disappointed. @Ford Motor Company send us cheese for our whine.

I wouldn’t accept a (possibly of build late 2020) two year old vehicle that’s been sitting unless it was heavily discounted. I’d cut losses and bail or try and flip it if possible.
