'Driver door open' alert will not stop

Sorry if this has been discussed before, I am new to this list.
Several months ago, after an automatic software update (I imagine), the driver's door open alert will.not.stop. Every time the driver's door is opened, the alert chime sounds. Even when the truck is turned off, the driver's door alert will chime whenever the door is opened. Interestingly (or not) when only the accessory power is turned on, this doesn't happen and it behaves itself. Has anyone had this problem ans if so can you please share a fix? Thanks!

Make sure your headlights are set to "auto."

I had something like what you are describing happen and eventually I realized my truck was trying to tell me my headlights were on.

Thank you so much, John! That was exactly the issue. I must have kneed the light selector button while exiting and never noticed. I very much appreciate your accurate diagnosis!
