Anyone who shows up at a Tesla charger that is incompatible is either uniformed or clueless.

Having to know which ones you can use, and which you cannot, only highlights the failure more rather than diminishing it.

Aside from brand loyalty or picky performance car owners, when was the last time you had to pick a certain gas station because others wouldn't be able to refuel your car.

I agree with you that I would not take a long trip with 2 little kids. We have done 31 states and a province, and enjoy planning our trips. Each year it gets easier. Going to Florida is almost no planning now.

Make better software.
Software cost scales inverse with unit sales.
So you have to go big. Think Microsoft, Amazon, Apple. Never going to be able to afford good software for low volume products.

Glad to hear, but honestly, as far as western states, Colorado and California are probably the major outliers.

Plus, there is a real difference between the "wide open west," and "away from the Interstate".

If you have some method of finding hidden chargers out west (divining rod?) besides PlugShare, I'd love to know about it....
