This looks like a good solution for city dwellers.
As most of you know level 1 and 2 EV chargers are not really AC to DC chargers, they are smart outlets, the chargers are in car. Seems a variation of these could be installed on electric telephone poles with inexpensive install costs since it would just require a tap and breaker and j1772 setup.
