My fitcamx dash cam stopped working some time ago. I thought i was just having issues connecting to the wifi, but it looks like it's just dead. In doing related troubleshooting with their tech support, it seems I'm not getting power at the little plug behind the mirror. (Although the miniscule little pins and plug are hard as heck to check without 3 hands).

Fuse #36 at passenger foot well is good. (Rear heated seat module, Steering column control module, auto dimming mirror)

My auto dimming rearview mirror isn't working as well. All part of the same wires behind the rear view mirror..

TIA for any advice..

If your auto dimming rearview isn't working and the camera has no power, that only leaves two practical things, either the "good" fuse really isn't good or the Fitcamx harness is bad.

Buy a few of the correct size and shape fuses for the mirror, or have access to a continuity tester so you can definitively test the fuse.

Try replacing the fuse to the mirror or using a confirmed good fuse, even if it "looks" good. See if camera and or mirror work. Does it work? Yes=success. No=next test...

If still not working, remove the Fitcam harness so that just the mirror is plugged in with the original plug. Replace with another fuse or confirm the current installed one is still working. Does the mirror dim now? Yes=success! Need a replacement Fitcam harness. No=well, there's something else amiss.

EDIT:
Just thought of another possibility. Check the round plug that comes from the harness and that goes to the FitcamX camera. Unplug it and make sure it is aligned correctly. I need reading glasses or a magnifying glass to actually see the little notch, but there is an alignment notch that needs to go into the cutout of the round plug. It's almost impossible at my age to see (YMMV) and is quite easy to connect and still be out of alignment.

No power could also be a bad wire somewhere leading to the mirror, if the fuse is good.
Maybe someone knows which wire bundle goes to the mirror?
