I’m driving three hours today to go check out an F150 Lightning Flash that was part of Ford’s buyback program. This particular vehicle was bought back by Ford in New Jersey under lemon law due to a faulty wiring harness that was replaced by Ford. It’s now being sold with full factory warranty and free 12 months 12,000 mile bumper-to-bumper extended service warranty from Ford. This dealership has several other Lightnings with branded titles, as well. Mostly for other lemon type defects with the suspension, etc. I may be looking at one of those if my first pic doesn’t pan out.

Any advice in assessing these trucks? Has anyone else bought a vehicle that went through Ford’s buy back program? How’d it go?Things to avoid? Thanks to look for? Asking both in the sense of the program, warranty, and any specific issues with the vehicles to consider.

I’m not so worried about the branded title in and of itself, as long as the problem that earned that title has been fully resolved.. Should I be? I’m not a high frequency buyer and seller, but resale wouldn’t be out of the question, so is the branded title that big of a deal?
I brought a 2022 with a branded title that had a light bar replaced and have had no other issues. Dealer said most return issues are tied to fear of running out if juice but Ford was pretty liberal on the take-backs early on. I love my Lightning!Paid 30k under sticker for a Platinum truck with 4k miles.

Looks like you already bought, but to echo the sentiment for anyone else on the fence, I bought a buy-back as well and have had nothing but good experiences so far (*knock on wood*). Still have the original warranties and bought an extended one as well, just for peace of mind.

Bought a ‘22 Platinum buyback in January with 20K miles on it.

Three weeks ago I did a 4200 mile roundtrip road trip in it and it was amazing.

I love this truck and would never hesitate buying another Ford buyback in the future.

Enjoy your truck!

I have been on the other side of this process. I had my truck bought back last week. The irony was when I got it back the last time from the shop I think it was more sorted than it has ever been. It will end up being a good buy for someone is my guess. I loved the truck.
