I'm sure I read it somewhere the HP is only to assist, and since the truck had no problem heating the batteries and cabin in sub -30C/-22F weather, I am pretty sure there is a system in addition to the heat pump.

In the Air conditioning industry heat provided by electric resistive heat typically is called electric heat. Heat provided by reverse cycle AC units are called heat pumps. Why did Ford deviate from this in the manual?
Because its irrelevant. Electricity is used to make heat, it has electric heat. Semantics make more confusion not less.

Simplicity would be not even stating the heater is electric. Just like they don't state the Air Conditioner is electric. That is what most other manufactures do. So either listing the climate control settings as either Heater or Air Conditioner would suffice.

I would guess the heat pump is only used for battery pack and air conditioner. where previous trucks had air conditioner, electric heater, and heat pump for battery pack. so 3 systems before now only 2.
Tesla only has one system for all. the octovalve controls everything.
