So, this is a minor annoyance, but I have shut off the rear occupant warning and EVERY time I start up the truck it asks me if I want to keep this warning off. I thought the system was supposed to offer this reminder like 2 times a year or something. Not every time I get in it!

If you open the rear door of the vehicle, and then drive, when you next stop it will remind you that there might be a person in the rear seats. This is mandated by federal law by 2025.

Children die every year because they are left in hot vehicles.

There is a feature that warns the driver of the truck that there may be someone in the back seat (triggered by the opening / closing of the rear doors) when you shut off the truck. This feature can be disabled in settings and when you do this it gives a disclaimer that the truck will remind you semi-annually or some such thing that the feature is disabled and will ask if you are sure that you want it to remain disabled. My truck reminds me that this feature is disabled every time I get in and start it.

Mine does the same thing. Initially when I disabled it it said it would remind me like twice a year. I think the truck is front loading the reminders for the next 25 years, bc it reminds me basically every time.

The MME does the same, I just ignore the message and get out of the car and close the door and everything shuts off. It doesn't stay on so doesn't bother me.

I thought that the Lightning was supposed to be Ford EV 2.0 but I keep hearing all of these software glitches are holdovers from the MME. This one and the THIS TRIP mileage auto reset. Software update @Ford Motor Company ?

There is supposed to be a major October OTA update at least for the Mach-E. Many of the issues haven't been resolved because they keep having to focus on other things, like ensuring that BlueCruise maps don't expire (they did), software fix for contactors, etc.

If you expect a perfect world, or close to it, you're in for a surprise - there will be many things that need to get "tweaked" over the next year+.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. It's a major problem here in AZ. My kids are so loud I don't think it's possible to forget them :D but I see the need and don't mind it.

On the software front, I hope Ford has a plan to improve the update rate/features.
