I didn't go crazy, but here are the things I bought to make the truck more useful:
Cheap indoor/outdoor rug, cut to fit the bed. I also have the spray liner which is great, but it's awfully scratchy on anything you toss in there (skis, box bottom).
A couple small 'nets' for the Frunk, one that is like a bag against the back wall where I actually put all my shopping bags. And a small square one that hooks to the connection points on the 'floor' of the frunk (keeps my full shopping bags from sliding/spilling).
A bed extender, most of the time it's inside the bed, and gives me a couple of feet of space to put a box or a few bags - otherwise everything has slid to the front of the bed and I need to crawl in to retrieve!
I did get the Ford tri-fold hard tonneau, love it, secure and strong. And I got some floor mats so I have a rubber base to put my snowy ski boots or whatever on rather than the rug mats.
