Yeah, I get emails from some companies that are like, "Save 10 cents a gallon at Mobil, all part of the perk of being a Walmart+ member" or whatever, and it's actually become an anti-perk. Like, am I paying extra for you to maintain this perk I will never use?

If someone wants to include a discounted or free membership to Tesla or EA reduced rate charging, I am on board.

Same reaction when I see everyone crying about gas prices on the news (and they should be). I live in Central California, home to top 3 gas prices in the USA, and a political mess of taxes.
I also have family members that will scramble to find the lowest gas prices and drive a couple extra miles to save a bit.
I also chuckled a couple of times inside Costco, when they try to offer their card that gives you cash back annually, they pitch it to me like, "You get 5 percent back on gas too!" and they always look puzzled when I reply that I don't buy gas anyway.

Good reminder. I still use our Costco Citi card with EV stations for this reason.

Yes a Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of Billions dollar industry that makes the world turn daily, they depend on those gas purchases.

My state had a $100 EV annual tax added to car tags to make up some for loss of gas tax, and it was raised to $166 this year?

No added charge in my state (knock on wood) they just passed into law no more state income tax so... hopefully that trends the same way.
