Sales numbers don''t directly tie to production numbers, but for the few samples I had for MY25, they tried to keep a pace of around 500 to 700 trucks rolling down the line, I'm not sure how few were rolling near the shift reduction and limited daily work load.

That makes sense. Thx for validating.

Hank who? lol not bothered to watch another non expert espouse their opinions as if facts.

Thanks for the summary, it saved me from wasting my time once I read this part of his opinion. "People buy trucks as a status symbol or cultural identity ("Built Ford Tough")."

That's complete :poop:. I bought my truck as I'm a homeowner and handy man. I NEED a truck to support the homestead. If I wanted a status symbol I'd go buy a Ferrari.

They should aim for a 60 kWh battery at least and a 12-15 gallon fuel tank.
60kWh would provide 144 miles (EPA) range. 700-144= 556. 556/20 = 27.8 gallons, which would fit in the space freed up by the smaller battery.
I agree, 30-40 mile range is not at all what Ford is aiming for, because then they would just call it a PHEV.

You would probably agree that when the the presenter was claiming that the truck would be a 30 mile PHEV, (with one ER battery providing 10 such batteries) then he is making people dumber rather than smarter. That may be why people are pushing back on the video.

Watching a little of the presentation has already toughened my digestive system. The first time, I was projectile vomiting just 56 seconds in. This time, I watched over a minute's worth (around the 19 minute mark) before I started to heave. He admits to knowing nothing about trucks and engines... probably a good reason to pontificate about something else.

Does anyone notice a parallel between American's "fear" of charging a car and the folks in this thread and their dislike/distrust/dis-something of YouTube?
It humors me.
Yeah, the immediate responses and backlash mostly make me think they DO know who Hank is, or they did a very quick Google search. When they saw he's on the "NPR-ish" side of youtube creators, they just couldn't stop themselves from posting something negative about him.

That is quite the creative take on things. I can't speak for others who found the presentation vapid, but I certainly didn't Google Hank. Comparing him to NPR is incredibly insulting to NPR. Alhough they have recently shifted too far the right, their journalistic standards are still fairly high. In a one minute piece, they could cover the salient points of Hanks presentation. The one minute AI summary did a far better job of presenting the information concisely than Hank did, by a factor of about 27:1

Hank closes by showing himself play Connections, and claims that the CEO of Ford could be watching. What incredible arrogance. What? Right after Jim finishes watching the Kardashians, he watches Hank?

I am admittedly an old fart, but when I was producing video, jump cuts were a mistake to avoid, not a means to make a boring presentation seem upbeat or catchy or edgy. Terry Gross, if doing a piece on a major manufacturer ditching a significant vehicle, shifting and firing workforce, restructuring their product mix... would prepare, and would know what "rev: means and wat "hemi" means in the context of automotive engines, and if not, would not advertise her ignorance as something to be celebrated.
