No it is Windows software. It might run OK on an Intel Mac running Windows, but can't confirm that personally. I bought a cheap Windows laptop to run it.

iOS OBD dongles are a whole different story. iOS compatible there means Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) as opposed to the original higher powered Bluetooth or WiFi. iPhones don't support non-BLE devices with custom profiles, only a few standard ones like audio devices.

The Bluetooth OBD will not work with ForScan on a Mac. It’ll work on a ForScan Lite app on an Apple device, this will allow you to read but not program.

To use ForScan on a Mac, you need an intel based Mac and load Windows via Bootcamp. If you do that, you will be able to use ForScan when using the right adapter (Obdlink EX)

Confirmed. This is how I run both Forscan and FDRS, with a Mongoose.

FWIW I have tried to get this working via emulation (via UTM - instead of virtualization, since newer macs are not Intel based). TLDR its not worth the effort. I ended up buying a $199 windows laptop on amazon and using this for windows required software

Works fine for me. I wrote a guide here: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...allels-obdlink-mx-usb-bluetooth-dongle.21704/
