Looking for Lightning Model Identifers

I have some software for the Lightning and I wish to properly label the various trims from the VIN model identifier field which are the characters in the 5-7 VIN position.

For example, my 2024 Flash has a VIN with "W3L" in these positions which makes it an XLT trim. Just wondering what other model identifiers are out there or if there is a reference somewhere. I have seen comments that the trim is not encoded in the VIN but it seems to be in the Mach-E and perhaps in the Lightning as well.

For my 2022 Lariat, digits 5-7 are W1E - but that's also what every 2022 and 2023 trim has for digits 5-7. You can look at digit 8 to get SR vs. ER.

For 2024 and 2025, Pro's are W1B, XLT and Flash are W3L, Lariats are W5L and Plat are W7L. But I only have about 3-4 of each trim so a small sample.

The difference between 2024-25 XLT and Flash is also position 8. For our trucks it is the battery size,
2024 K=SR (XLT), R=ER (Flash).
2025 K=SR (XLT), U=123 kWh ER (Flash), 7=143 kWh ER (Flash).

You can go to carfax.com etc, and look at hundreds of used VINs if you want to find other patterns.

Thanks for the fast replies, pre-2024 VIN are the single code W1E code but I'll run with the newer codes for 2024 onward.

Use is just for a friendly label so it doesn't matter if I get them wrong.
