Market shift. ADM and other dealer games appear to be over

The days of ADM and the other games appear to be over. As I prepare to get my truck (finally!), Ford is now offering incentives and low rate financing on Lightnings. Until the end of July, cash buyers can get a $1000 incentive reduction. Those who finance can get $1500 and below market rates that vary depending on length of the loan. For example, 1.9% for 36 months. I guess there are some benefits for those of us who needed to wait a bit longer.

X-plan was also an option for me. If used, the incentive reductions go away with the cash payment option and the X-plan savings is $77. So not really a viable option there.

But if I finance some, I still get the $1500 off and another $77 for x-plan (Hey! $77 is still $77 )

it's definitely settling down. With that said, it's somewhat market-specific. My dealer never had ADM on any vehicle, others near here did and are still asking ADM. Who knows whether they get it or not, but they're asking 5k to 8k over on most trims. They have the same finance incentives, but ask for an ADM too.

For me, the X-Plan savings was the reduction in the standard high BS paperwork fee they love in this area. I had entered the X-Plan PIN in the original online order and it carried through.

Most Ford dealers weren’t doing ADM. The interest rates are great news for folks that didn’t want to be financing at 7-8%.
