Recently had my highest energy reading at 100% SOC Display of 131.07. Normally I see about 128.x kWh at 100% SOC Display. Wondering how high others have charged to or seen.

What app are you using for the HV battery information to be displayed? TiA 😊

I have seen as low as 126, and as high as 131.5

I have also monitored this while charging and did see the battery top out at 131 when at 99%, and charging to 100% added a significant amount of energy but the energy to empty did not change.

That was the cells balancing. I think I once saw an extra 15kW.

Yep. There was a distinct drop in current and it took quite a while, however in total quite a bit of energy was still added without the reported energy increasing.

It also took quite a while for these battery to drop off of 100% SOC on the display.

My guess is the energy amount is calculated off nominal cell voltage, not actual, so that extra energy wasn't actually brining the pack over 131kwh, instead just bringing it up to that value (that it was overreporting previously)

Yes, Lee says that when you balance the cells by charging to 100%, it will make the SOC more accurate.

I just noticed the other day as well. I was ranging from 124-127 at 100%. I also noticed the drop in display SOC is more linear. Before the energy needed the drop to 118 kwh before it would drop down to 99%. Now it’s starts right away.

80% is now around 102 kWh, it was 96 kWh before, so for fast charging that’ll help a bit.

Not sure when all of things changed though.

Yes the drop in display SOC is much more accurate than before for that first 100% to 99%.
