My '17 has the front tie downs located about mid-way up the bed. For the purpose of hauling small amounts of lumber around, this makes tying the load down impossible in the front. Has anyone moved the factory tie down to the bottom of the bed? I'm assuming there's nuts on the other side of bolts securing the tie down there, but I figured I would ask here before digging into things. I've also considered adding d-rings to the front corners instead of moving the factory ones. Any issues with drilling holes in the front corners?

Disclaimer: this is my experience on an 06 F150.
-Bolts go into threaded holes
-Park on level ground, remove & replace 1 bolt at a time
- Use penetrating lube if corrosion suspected
-I discarded factory washers when i installed D-rings to ensure overall bolt head height was the same, and same number of bolt threads were engaged.
