I have been receiving notifications from my Electric Service Provider, National Grid, asking me to sign up for charging incentives. When I attempted to sign up, Ford Charging Stations were not on the list. When I inquired, I was informed that Ford does not generally allow third party apps. Anybody?

I would contact them and ask what charger they recommend and if they have a rebate for that charger.

I’m not sure if you are having the same issue but when I had my Ford charge Station Pro installed, Consumers energy here in Michigan initially rejected the charger because it could charge (80amps) higher than their incentive limit of 50 amps. Since I don’t need the full 80 amps, I degraded the charger internal setting and had my electrician mount a fused disconnect next to the charger and put 50 amp fuses in it. I submitted an explanation along couple of pictures of the charger setting and disconnect with the 50 amp fuses and they accepted it both for a rebate and ev incentive rate.

My CSP is lowered also. NG says that the problem is that Ford dosen't allow 3d party apps.

Correct. That has been brought up before. There is no work around to that if your provider requires API access. Other than replacing the EVSE.

In Massachusetts the energy companies (Eversource/National Grid) are doing a V2X demo. It only covers 3 vehicle models, and the Lightning with the FCSP and HIS system is one of them. They are partnering with Sunrun for installation and TMH (The Mobility House) for the software aspect.
Still in the early (designed but not yet deployed) stages, but if successful could mean that the FCSP (with HIS system) could be supported for V2G more widely.
Of course... That's not until next year. (We expect installation in the next few months, and demo period is until December 2026)
