Any decrease in range from the additional deflection and rolling resistance of having more sidewall is going to be hard to measure in this case, and it will be outweighed by the increase in asthetics, traction, ride quality, and puncture resistance.

I honestly don't know why 20" wheels are even used on trucks at all, let alone the 22s. It's counter productive.
