After multiple battery saver mode messages I bought the Noco battery maintainer. I've been using it for over 2 weeks whenever not driving. It is set on AGM. It stays on pulsing red. Only time I've seen it Green is if the truck is running. Obd reports 100% 12V SOC. Has anyone ever seen green on the noco? Maybr battery is more dead even though Dealer tested in Jan. Claimed they put it on a charger but it passed?

This is how my LVB behaved when my dealer trashed my 12V battery during the parking sensor update about a year ago. The NOCO Genius2 would charge the LVB until the NOCO green LED showed, but it would only have a 25% SOC according to Car Scanner. The dealer ran a battery test and replaced the battery under warranty since I was only 2 years into my warranty.

If they ever release the parking recall for the '23s, I'll have the dealer check the 12V again. My 3/36 is good till Nov.

Yes, mine turns green after pulsing red for a time. I have been keeping my battery on a maintainer for quite some time now so I assume it is still healthy and can reach the green zone.

If your battery has been discharged deeply, the Noco could take several sessions to fully charge it - a 35Ah battery could take over 20 hours on a maintainer to fully charge, however after two weeks either you have a bad charger or a bad battery, I'd guess.

I did see one report that a NOCO Genius1 pulsed red and never turned green, might have been a defective unit, they returned it and got a new one which worked fine.

If the plates are significantly sulfated, it can take more current or more time to fully charge.
Another reason could be parasitic drains using up the maintainer current.

But it is possible your battery is 'bad' - too weak to fully charge - because you say you've seen the Noco turn green when the truck is on.

When the truck is on, the Noco is reading the voltage from the DC-DC converter which is why it turns green, so most likely the Noco is good. You could hook it up to another vehicle you know has a good battery and see what happens.

One other thing - be sure that you hooked the Noco up downstream of the BMS sensor (like this image shows) which is on the negative terminal:

If you don't have a way to test the battery for SOH yourself, and still have the Bumper to Bumper warranty, have Ford check the battery and replace it.

Some auto parts stores will check your battery for you for free, but I can't vouch for them.

The 1A version I had could not do it. I switched to the 5A version and it gets to green.

The 1-amp Noco is probably struggling to overcome the internal resistance of the older battery, hence it is always in charge mode (red). I use the Noco 1-amp on my motorcycle batteries, and it definitely turns green when the battery is topped up. I use a 5-amp Noco on the Lightning, and it pops into charge mode about once every 2 hours or so for about 10 minutes.
