Obtain a build date with only a VIN?

Hi all,
Is there a way to check the build date on a "on the lot" F150 Lightning if I only have a VIN number? None of the windows stickers of built and delivered Lightnings have a blend date. I just don't want to buy a Lightning that's been sitting on the lot for a year because the dealer marked them up and now they cant sell at MSRP.

Yeah blend date is not on stickers for vehicles I'm seeing on the lot now. When I look at my sticker this date

is about 2 weeks before my blend date. Don't know if that holds true now but could tell you realtive age among several vehicles you are looking at.

Also on the top row there are these numbers on every sticker:

7902 is the batch number and this truck was #148 of 413 built in that batch. IIRC batches are built somewhat sequentially but there may be exceptions. You could see relative age.

In the end, buy what's a good deal. Folks are still buying 2022's built well over a year ago and at a discount. The only issue is that they may not have recent updates but make that a condition of sale.

A large batch of spring and early summer window stickers were BATCH re-sequenced, when that happens the historical blend dates disappear, sorry. The closest you can come is to personally inspect each truck on the lot, door jam GVWR sticker bottom center has the original planned blend day. in this example the date 12/06/2021 [1202112069920]

Your advice is good, but fails when Ford does a mass batch re-sequencing of multiple weeks of window stickers.
This is what all the Lightnings on my dealers lot look like now after the revision, stripping off the blend dates.

07/19/23 is when the batch process ran, it over writes the original invoice date when the sticker was selected and sent to the plant for production.

You have taken delivery, shortly after a truck is sold FoMoCo purges the original or resequenced window sticker.

That was the primary reason in July 2023, this phenomena has happened several times in the MY22 production year with no pricing changes.
