How are the power boards with snow and ice build up from driving? My brother has power boards on his PB Lariat and they're non functional due to electrical and snow/ice/moisture issues which is why I was happy my lightning came with fixed boards.
So far, no issues with my AMP Research running boards which I’ve had for a little over a year but I am in a relatively mild climate. I’ve been meaning to follow up with this treatment though:

I'm not abnormally tall but I do go about 6'3" and I use the OE running boards to get in and out of the truck. They work great, protect the rocker panels, and protect the doors from dings in the Walmart parking lot. They also make hand washing the roof easier, and that's an important maintenance item a lot of people overlook IMO. I was thrilled to see that they were included as standard equipment.

I have the fixed running boards on my 24 Flash. I'm 5' 10" and use them getting in (only sort of need to, but I do use them). My wife uses the passenger side running boards every time she gets in or out. My old Dodge Ram had aftermarket fixed step bars that both my wife and I used.
