Has anyone replaced the passenger side view mirror with 360° camera and side warning system? I broke mine today backing into my garage. Yes I was stupid, my garage is on a slope and I have to park right next to the wall so the wife's car fits in the garage as well. I was wondering if there was any programming that needed to be done. I read about camera calibration but didn't see anything else about radar.

Yeah it's going to be. I only cracked the outside trim. I could live with it, but I dont think I can without it driving me crazy. I looked online, but Ford doesn't sell that trim piece on the mirror.

There are plenty of manual-folding Lightning mirrors and F150 14th gen manual folding mirrors on EBay. Way cheaper than at the dealership.

The mirror disassembles like a big Lego set. All the mirror trim is disassemblable (is this a word? haha) with care and basic tools, and interchangeable... as are the guts. If Your mirror cap is painted and not cracked, You can reuse it on the new mirror. If You buy a cheap low end version, You can transplant the advanced guts of Your mirror (including any needed wiring) into the cheap mirror's shell. I suggest You buy a cheap appropriate mirror, put on some calming music and just go carefully.

See the Auto Folding Mirror thread on this forum for some ideas.

Good luck!

Thanks. I found a YouTube video on how to replace the trim and ordered my cheap replacement on ebay this morning for $100. Better than 1100.00.

FYI, to answer your first post, the blind spot radar sensor is in the tail light. Your mirror just has the indicator light. So no BLIS calibration.

If you would just be a little patient you can find a replacement on eBay, it just takes time. I just got a fully loaded mirror with the correct paint trim pretty much mint condition for $450 shipped. It took about 3-4 months of looking a couple times a week to find it.
It took 10 minutes to replace and I didnt have to play legos.

it was pretty annoying looking at a cracked mirror everyday but my patience paid off in the end.

I had a hit and run driver, who I later found out had no insurance, damage my drivers side mirror.
Ford sold me the mirror for about $430, the install was $315.
My insurance covered it 100% (GEICO) although at first they said it was covered under collision and I had to pay my $500 deductible - once they confirmed the other driver was uninsured, they sent me the $500.

The parts guy told me that the passenger side one cost about $1200 from Ford.

I now no longer park on the street!

When I have to street park, I fold them in now.
Mine was hit because the other truck was driving on the wrong side of the street.
My security cameras caught it.

The driver was a plumber working on the house next door trying to park a few feet closer to that house.

The general contractor who hired him gave me his phone number.

He tried to stall me for a few days with back and forth texts, and wouldn't give me his ins. policy number - he said he had Allstate ins. but they never heard of him.

Finally had to report it to the local police as a hit and run.
They tried to find him but he had left town.
The general contractor told me he absconded with some of his tools as well.

Ironically he worked as "SemperFlow Systems" and claimed to be a Marine Corps veteran.
"Semper Fi" he was not!

His Yelp reviews were full of complaints including one with serious damage to her house and she mentioned his refusal to give her his insurance info for a claim.

"At SemperFlow Systems, we combine military-grade precision with premium plumbing and renovation services. As a Marine Corps veteran-owned company, we serve Loudoun, Ashburn, and Fairfax with honesty, attention to detail, and craftsmanship that’s built to last. From bathroom remodel rough-ins to tankless water heater installs and plumbing maintenance plans, we’re not your average plumber — we’re your long-term solution for quality and trust."

Takes all kinds to make a world, alas.
