Peeling Paint on front lower valance

So frustrated and wondering if anyone else has experienced paint peeling on the front of their trucks? Deal says its not covered under warranty. what the heck! its hideous looking and my vinyl shop won't wrap it unless i have it sandblasted off. seems to get worse every week.

Platinum? Yep lots.

Not so much on the other trims.

I do feel bad for those having the chipping on the upper and lower grill, and I think it's a platinum issue level of painted parts.... but honestly I have been patiently waiting long enough for one you to get so pissed off that you sit there and peel the rest of that black paint and let us see the massive upper grill and lower trim all chromed out.

Definitely would be cylon/terminator vibe and peoples brake lights reflecting off the chrome at night all red like... Priceless.

But again. I am sorry you have to deal with this...

thanks must be a platinum level issue. i've even tried finding the part to just replace it to no avail. wonder if anyone has successfully gotten @Ford Motor Company to do something about this as it sounds like it is a widespread issue and they didnt prep the chrome properly for paint

I have an XLT that did just that. Sanded it down and used bedliner paint and you cant even tell. My dealer was going to paint it but I didnt want to lose the truck for a week......

did you take the part off to sand and paint? i cant find any details on how this gets removed

No I just sanded it down wiped it with paint thinner to clean it off and taped off the edges. This was a year ago and I just took a picture and noticed a few spots I need to go over again. It was the lower valance and it blended perfectly ( I think)
