You also have to watch out for blowing dirt and dust coming up the fender wells in and around the frunk area where your battery and heat pump is. Might have to blow the dust out with an air compressor if you are in those conditions.

But then your main worries are a fire, a mud slide, and of course, California falling off into the ocean any day, hour, minute, or second now. :)
lol! So glad I don’t live here. Unfortunately my work brings me here from time to time. So I deal with it.

Well I have an update. I “think” I’ve found the source of water coming in and it seems to track with where it was wet. So I have smartliner (brand name) floor mats and the driver side has the little female clips to snap onto the carpet to keep the mat from moving around. So last night I was trying to go to sleep and mind started wondering. This morning I checked the mat by pouring some water on top of the clips and sure enough it ran right thru to the bottom. Thinking about it kinda makes sense where the carpet or really the padding under was wet/damp and the fact that it was kinda confined to a small area. I’m cautiously hopeful that was the issue. No rain here in the PRC for awhile so I will have to wait to check that part. New husky mats are ordered and will be here tomorrow. They are all one piece molded so no way water can get in the same way.
