Hello friends!
I have seen many advertisements about this function in Ford, but yesterday I saw a Ford Lightning crash into a minivan stopped at a traffic light from behind.
This made me think, I decided to take 2 huge cardboard boxes from the garage, put them on the street and decided to check what would happen if I approached them while driving down the street (in a straight line). The result surprised me very much - about 10 meters before these boxes, an alarm appeared with a warning about the risk of collision, but NOTHING else, no attempts to reduce speed (I was moving 51 km / h) and certainly no attempts at emergency braking, including after a collision with boxes.
After that, I also checked the automatic braking function when reversing - also NOTHING except an alarm with a warning about the possibility of a collision.
Tell me, how are you with this?
Does anyone know anything about these systems?
Thanks
