240? I don't know. I wouldn't expect much more. The claimed efficiency already seems high.

I am going to guess 235. Temperature, speed, and elevation change will have a much bigger impact on range.

Any idea what range expectations could be with only 200sh in the cab (my fat a**)?
You could test how much difference ~700-800lbs makes by loading up your ID4 with some buddies or whatever.

The real hit to range is going to come from your foot and wind resistance.

Do you have an FE? Ours is an FE and I will say we took a hefty hit to our range just towing a 4x8 utility trailer with a couch on it. I suspect that's related to the drag more than weight, though.

Good idea on a real life test - not a bad idea.

FE?

My EV's suffer a lot going up and down hills. If they had any consideration for elevation on EPA then it would increase a lot. I'd think that the highway would not change a huge amount. The city would improve most.

This was interesting:

“The test truck [ER] had a nearly full charge, and the trip computer was displaying an anticipated 227 miles of remaining range—taking into account recent driving history. It was displaying a running 1.7-mi/kwh average over nearly 24.5 hours and about 1,473 miles—suggesting it was driven on average more than 60 miles per hour, even considering the recent time crawling around the ranch with journalists and industry analysts.”

I want to know what the range impact will be if I decide to eat a second breakfast burrito before going on a road trip. ?

So, the standard range 230 miles and the ER 300 miles, all with 1000 lbs. of payload. I think Ford will be trying to display the most achievable real-world range when calculating a trip etc. But with cold weather and driving 70-80 mph on the interstate I would think the standard range would be closer to 180 miles and the ER 240 miles. Is it worth near $20k for the whopping 60 miles...well if you are 59 miles away from a charger and/or your destination then probably..lol.

I wish the range with one or two people would be closer to 250 miles for the SR and 330 miles for the ER in ideal conditions, but aerodynamics play a huge part as well as weight and weather.

My guess is that we will see 270-300 miles range on the SR without a load. Especially after a few OTA updates to optimize the regen / motor efficiency.
