Ford F-150 Lightning Ready for a third EV 20230522_194136-01

Just had an electrician install a 240v NEMA 14-50 and a Tesla wall charger. We should be able to support any vehicle plus charge our friends EVs in the driveway when they visit. So far both the F150L and the Model 3 charge at the same time without issues. Going to see how this will affect the electric bill...

I'm chomping at the bit to get a 2nd EV for the wife. She really wants a 3rd row to accommodate carpooling for school and when parents visit to reduce the number of vehicles we need to take when going somewhere. Got my eye on the EV9, maaaaybe the EX90, not sure I want to wait for Ford to get their act together for their 3 rows they claim will come soon. I've seen a R1S in town and thought it looks cool, but wife can't get over the oval eyes.

I love that three car garage! Im about to get three estimates to finally get my EV charger installed at home, now that the snow has finally melted. Tired of going to Electrify America when I have it parked in my driveway. Mine will be out in the open.

If you're still charging the same 2 vehicles as before, you're electric bill shouldn't change.

I wouldn't trust that Ford Mobile Charger. Might be best to think about a replacement before it fails.

Both vehicles were charging on 110v plugs before this upgrade and we really did not keep them plugged in due to the slow rate. The Ford charger is temporary until my 40A charger comes in from Amazon.

Third Ford EV and Chargers, 240V Mobile have all been fine. Granted only had each one a year but no problems.
