For each of you, look at the DC pins on the truck side of the port, are they uniform with no damage?
Just looked at my truck and adapter. Everything looks good on both. For the record, I'm not concerned about my issue. It only happened to me one time and I've successfully DCFC multiple times since with no issues.

EV's charge sometimes and sometimes they dont
This is not acceptable from a Ford technician. They charge unless something is broken or otherwise out of whack. They need to work all the time, not just sometimes.

I sometimes get the red ring if I don't hold the charge gun square to the port while the lock engages. The weight of the cable or any sideways torque can impact the lock action. Vice versa too - always hold the charge gun firmly square to the charge port while pressing the button to disengage the lock so the lock mechanism doesn't bind.

All other non-charge events across my Lightning and wife's MME over 4 years have been DCFC station-related or Blue Oval Network-related. Blue Oval has been troublesome for us here in the great white north, so I no longer use it and have had far fewer problems since.

The notes seems to say the actuator is on back order.
That's the most likely culprit, in my opinion - has been in the other cases.
As soon as they get it and replace it, I'd bet you'll be able to DC charge again.

The tech's comments are strange indeed!

One other thing - the 12v system controls a lot of things, the HVB contactors AND the charge port lock pin actuator, so if there is an issue with the 12v system, low battery, DC-DC converter, or some wiring issue with the 12v control, that could also be the issue.

There are control module involved in controlling the charge port lock actuator as well, so if replacing it does not solve the issue, the 12v system and the control modules should be diagnosed.

I am an electrical engineer not a Ford tech and these are just my educated guesses from what I have read on the forums and elsewhere, fwiw.
