Just got notified through the ford pass app to schedule service. Parts must be in!
Available to order by dealer. My money is it will take months to actually obtain them. Hope I’m wrong.

Only 9 vehicles get full battery replacements per the bulletin (page 7)? That is about 1% of the 950, which makes sense for the chance of having all modules with electrode misalignments. About 3000 dealers in US and Canada, so only 1 in 3 dealers, on average, will have to deal with this safety recall, and it may be a first time learning experience. Although there have been many other battery module replacements for hundreds of other HV battery module failures. Probably no reason to delay getting the work done in hopes the Techs will be learning from previous failures before they get to ours.

Trying to figure out the breakpoint for Ford of replacing modules, vs a complete HV battery replacement. The modules are about $4000 apiece retail, maybe $3000 actual Ford cost? 9 x $3K = $27K. Labor allowed is 12 hrs x $100/hr/TechLabor = $1200 for the initial inspection. Must be about 4hrs for each module replacement? So $400 labor also per module? So even if 8 of the 9 modules were bad, 8 x 4hrs x $100 is only $3200 plus 8 x $3k = $24K for the modules. So 8, maybe 7, bad modules would probably about breakeven for just replacing the complete HV battery assembly. Plus final coolant refill and vacuum another 1hr, $100? So it does seem cheaper to usually just replace the individual modules instead of a complete battery every time?
