Same trip different BC versions

I did a round trip (3.5 hours each direction) with old timey blue cruise...and it was fine.
The day after I returned I got the BC update.
I had the same round trip lined up the next week.
Trip A was about 1/2 back roads and 1/2 highway.
Trip B I purposely went all highway to put the new BC to test.
I must say the latest BC is excellent.
Lane changing is a great addition.
The amount of nagging has gone down nicely, while still not being happy when I take a long swig from my water bottle.

As an aside: I got 2m/kwh on both trips. Cruise was set to 10 above the speed limit.
Also, as a reminder, I lost my air dam a few months back, so I further say that thing doesn't help in range.

Good to know. A popular ICE mod is to remove the air dam. One less thing to break.

I get it.
I figured it was a useful efficiency thing.
Now it is sitting in my garage and my efficiency hasn't changed a bit.

This is a great example of how a feature (the deployable dam) achieves a purpose (fuel savings), yet people say it doesn't.

The deployable dam saves fuel across millions of vehicles. A person is not going to notice the fuel efficiency savings by examining a rounded efficiency measure, like miles per kWh. It's a small gain, multiplied by millions of people.
