Seatbelt reminder disable 2024

Has anyone successfully turned off seatbelt reminder on a 24? I updated forscan with no luck and the manual option doesn't work either. Just want to ask.

2024 Pro. I disabled it through the owners manual method, both front belts. You have to follow the instructions exactly and get your buckle in/out timing perfectly.

Can you list the steps you used to achieve this? My 2024 flash doesn't seem to care what method I use it never disables it. The farthest I can get is to get the seat belt icon to flash after bluckling 4 times in a row, but nothing seems to work after that.

Open IPC as built

Change line 720-13-01 and 720-13-02 to ALL zeros. Change line 720-14-01 and 720-14-02 to ALL zeros.


Then write it.

Yeah but the first time I did it the red seat belt icon went crazy and kept flashing, even if the seatbelt is on. But now I don't see any warnings thankfully!

I don't mind the on screen warning, but changed the dinging to European standard where it does not ding until reaching 14 mph. I routinely get into the truck and start it (mainly to get the AC going) before strapping in. Having to listening the damn dinging was annoying.

They make them in all kinds of styles and colors. If you're a true degenerate like me, they even sell some that have built in bottle openers on the other side. With these, I can still tell if my kids are not wearing their seatbelts. Sure.....I could just lead by example and put it on, but I prefer the "do as I say and not as I do" method of parenting.

I am likely alive because of seat belts, so I am very diligent about using them.

In case you're wondering, got hit by a drunk driver who was going about 100mph on the freeway. It was an E-Ticket ride!
