Snowsport 180 utility plow?

I wonder if this would be better with the blade flipped 180º, so that you could back up and pull the snow rather than having to push it backward? Maybe the blade is too small for that type of plowing, though. And then I'd want to tilt it so that one end was in front of the other, and then I'm just wanting a normal plow :)
I wouldn't think that would work. The truck would drive over the snow and compact it, making it harder to plow. I'll try to post a video next time it snows of it in action on the lightning backing up. It works very well.

I wouldn't think that would work. The truck would drive over the snow and compact it, making it harder to plow. I'll try to post a video next time it snows of it in action on the lightning backing up. It works very well.
That's how a lot of other rear plows work, but I think you're saying that this one is so light weight with no downward pressure, so it would just slide over the compacted tracks, right?

That's how a lot of other rear plows work, but I think you're saying that this one is so light weight with no downward pressure, so it would just slide over the compacted tracks, right?
I'd rather have a clear driveway than compacted tracks left there. It won't clear it completely after driven on. Just my personal preference.

My plow is a bit heavier than the others in this thread. But it works fine. I still need to dial in my sight lines so I have a better feel for the blade’s height.

DK2 82” x 19” with the linear actuator lift instead of the winch.

It’s a heavy plow.

But we can get 3-6 feet in a storm and I needed something that I could use over a 2-mile gravel road if necessary.

I would have preferred to install on the front, but I’m not going to modify the front until the Lightning is out of warranty.
