Can I ask how much would the repair be out of warranty?
A new SOBDMA can be purchased on eBay for less than $500 and you can replace it yourself with common tools in about 2hrs by removing the frunk tub, then accessing it easily.

If a dealer does it I think ford charges around $1500 for the part and prob 5hrs of labor if nothing goes wrong, so prob somewhere around $4k my guess.

I think I am facing the same scenario. Suddenly can't charge at home on the 120v outlet, nor on the Emporia Level 2 I just installed. But fast charging works, thank goodness. I have an appointment in a few weeks. Any suggestion?
Your experience is the same as mine. You will need to get it diagnosed, but my best guess is the module is at fault, same as my truck.

I don't have the paperwork handy at this time but I think all in it would have been around $7k. It was ultimately covered by the EV components 100k mile warranty.

A 5K job at the dealer can turn into a 10K or more job in the blink of an eye if an EV certified technician makes one stupid mistake in diagnosis or repair. It's kind of like forgetting to put a ring on one of the pistons when rebuilding an engine. Opps That's a $5K mistake minimum. Except with EVs the industry is so young technicians or even engineering support hardly ever gets blamed for simple mistakes.

Reset all your DTC's with FORScan or CarScanner, if that doesn't fix it you may have a failed SOBDMA. It's not common, but it has happened to a few people.
Does this void my warranty?
