10,000 trucks in inventory doesn't sound like a crazy number to me.

The article seems like a pile-on. I'm fine with that.
That’s a lot for Tesla, they are only till recently operate in an inventory deficit due to high demand.

Hope it turns around. Our house would have bought the $69k Tri on day one but we all got tricked $$$ and unwilling to afford the markup on all trims.

I don't know if that story is bias, a pile on, or simply the plain truth. But we all know that the CT is a flop. Elon expected to sale a turd for a profit. Luckily, most knew better.

You mean most of the obvious CT haters on the F150 forums. The CT forum members don't share in your opinion.

I was a member of the CT forum and that place is tone deaf. The endless posts about how the CT is a Raptor beater because of the air suspension, how the stainless was going to be awesome because you won't even have to do anything to it, or how it was going to be indestructible because of the exoskeleton (even after the biw pictures were out).

Most model specific forum tend to have blinders on but the CT forums are a complete level beyond that.

You are in the Lightning Forum. I see we, mostly, do laugh at the CT. We bought a Lightning for a reason. So, for what reason are you here in this Forum (I see you own a Lightning, not a CT) and why would you not expect many of us to laugh at the CT?

It's not personal, it's only that many of us think Musk thought his followers would buy anything as long as his name was attached someway.

And, by the way, I don't hate the CT, I do find it laughable.

I didn't join this forum to laugh at another manufacture or its CEO and I didnt buy a Lightning because I think it's so superior to other trucks and we all know they aren't perfect. I happen to like most EVs including the CT just for what it is and how it looks. It's different and out of the norm and I appreciate that. Its what made the DeLorean, the original Beetle, the Corvair, and others, interesting vehicles. To say, "many of us think Musk thought his followers would buy anything as long as his name was attached someway" is an opinion based on your dislike of Musk. Keep in mind, if it weren't for Tesla, we probably wouldn't have our Lightnings. Or at least we would be cursing public charging longer than we have to. I don't know about you, but I'm enjoying my Tesla charging brought to us by Elon Musk.
So yes, I am in the the Lightning Forum, not the lets pile s#$t all over everybody else forum.

Kinda like the Corvette forum or the Porsche 911 forums. Where they believe their cars a superior to others? The CT forum is not uniq.

The bump in inventory may turn out to be a short term thing for CT, or just the beginning of bigger troubles. Time will tell.
For me, that is not the truck I wanted, (which is why I am here) but I think we can all agree (on any EV forum) that more EV's on the road will lead to more charging options, in more places, and push the technology towards ever faster charging capability.

There are youtube channels dedicated to bashing Tesla/Musk. These days that is how you get clicks. Don't ask me how I know ;) As much as it pains me to say this, the fact is despite all the hate, and lack of sales, TSLA is up 84% for the year. He is going to find a way to sell the inventory even if he has to put lipstick on that pig.

People just have faith that he will do whatever it takes to make money and make them rich in the process. He has proven that he is good at that. And he is good at getting credit for what the smart people he hires do. With that inflated head, he now believes his own B.S.

As far as CT goes, I am having a hard time believing I had a reservation once.

Here is where I leave this chat because I really don't care. TSLA is up for the last full year. Down since the chainsaw video.

Up 80% YoY or down 25% since all the shenanigans started, it's all about perception...
well, it went up because of the shenanigans too so YoY number takes that out of calculation. Tesla value has never been about reality of present and as long as Musk can sell some sort of dream and people can cash on that dream, it bounces Back.

When I was in CT forum, there was one super obnoxious dude that was like an angry Doberman with rabies. If anyone said anything slightly negative about Tesla or Musk, this due would explode. I think all his money was in Tesla and had already made a ton. To him Tesla was not just a religion and Musk was not just a profit, they were his entire livelihood. So he was not defending a company or a man, he was protecting his bottom line. I think that has been the case for many.
