Tesla supercharger adapter case

Hi. Searching this forum and others I could not find a decent case for the Tesla designed charging adapter that ford sent. I had it just in the glove box but I could hear it sliding back and forth and I wanted to get a case for it. Fits pretty well and it was cheap. For whatever it's worth, the A2Z Typhoon Pro came with a very nice custom fit zippered case. Unfortunately, it does not quite fit in the upper glove box...

Yes I had the typhoon pro but sold it when I recieved the Tesla adapter from ford. Tesla adapter seemed lower quality but more compact.

No idea on that part. I just had the students in engineering do it for me.

Yes I had the typhoon pro but sold it when I recieved the Tesla adapter from ford. Tesla adapter seemed lower quality but more compact.

I had the original A2Z adapter, which was recalled. I received the Typhoon Pro as a replacement -- it's probably the best built NACS adapter. The build quality of the A2Z adapters make the Tesla adapters feel quite janky. After Tesla had to recall a bunch of their own adapters, it's unsurprising that Ford decided to do their own with Lectron.

Bambu Labs A1 and A1 mini is the what you probably want

I'm thinking of using a small padded camera or lens case, hard shell or soft-shell.

It supports color changes easily and prints much faster than competitors in its price range.

3D printing is a rabbit hole though. You will be amazed at all the stuff you didn't know you needed to know once you get into it. Like boats, its better to have a buddy with one than buying your own

My buddy printed one up for me using ASA (better hear tolerance).

I repurposed an old plastic tool box I used to use for cassette tapes and some foam received with some shipment of something cut to fit the adapter - does not quite fit into the glove box but fits the center console fine. Might fit in the frunk floor storage with the Ford Mobile Power Cord but I did not check it.

Yes, good to have a recommendation from a real user.

My wife has been after me to buy a 3-D printer for a while - she does ceramic work (sells at Glynt Pottery on Etsy) and some of her friends use them to make ceramic things and well as molds for clay, etc.

BTW, looks like that Supplemental Owner Guide is still unopened?

Some interesting reading, like about "changing a road wheel" (as opposed to changing the steering wheel?) pages 89 plus, and of course plenty in there to cure insomnia as well.

If you even need to replace a lost key or remote, see page 32 which has the low down - I stuck my key's "security label" in there on that page besides entering it to my PC.
