Just FYI that part is backordered -- I'd expect into March at this point. Best get on the list.

Is this car considered safe to drive...? I feel like it is not?

It should only affect lights on the tailgate. If safety is a concern just put some black electrical tape over those lights since they are going to replace the parts anyway.

Tail lights? Aren't those the back-up lights? Are they doing it while driving down the highway?

Tail lights? Aren't those the back-up lights? Are they doing it while driving down the highway?
They are the reverse lights. They light up when the truck lights up upon proximity to the key.
I have no idea if they are flickering driving down the highway (my neck doesn't stretch that far). This was in my driveway.

You'd be driving without backup lights I believe (unless the tailgate is down?). Probably illegal if I had to guess.

My side taillights have reverse lights in them, I guess I haven't inspected all the taillights differences between Pro/XLT and Lariat/Platinum. Learned something new today.
