Touch screen did not power on when hot

We had the truck parked in the sun on a hot day (95F). When we returned 30 minutes later and started it up to go, the large screen did not power on. We drove for a few minutes. Turned off the truck, and turned it on again, hoping this would reset it. Still, the screen did not power on. We drove for a few more minutes and then it did power on.

I’m wondering if this is heat related? Has it happened to others? Is there a way to control the AC if the screen is off? Should I contact the dealer about this?

I live where 95F is considered mild. Never had this happen. If it keeps up I would take it in.

Did you happen to put it in reverse to see if the backup camera came on? If it doesn’t, that’s a huge safety issue. Ford already has a big recall for non-functioning cameras.

When you say the screen wouldn’t power on do you mean it went black or did it grey out with an hour glass looking thing on it? Mine did some weird stuff the other day and I kept tapping the screen and it would come back for a few seconds, then go to the grey screen again. Tapped it a few more times and it stayed on but was very strange.

Our screen was black, didn’t power on at all.

Seems like that whole Sync 3 and 4 and the larger screen has several gremlins. My last F150 was a Tremor and the one before that was a Raptor and I had buggy issues with those trucks as well.
