Towed for the first time with my 21’ Platinum Powerstroke. Max trailer tow package, weight distributing hitch. Truck has a 2.25” level and 34” Nittos.

Averaged 12.1 for the entire 304 mile round trip. 50/50 highway and mountains. Towed like a champ. No issues with heat or trailer sway. Getting peak torque at 1750 rpm made a huge difference through the mountains. Passed small cars at times too no problem.

Ford F-150 Lightning Towed 7,500 lbs through mountains w/ 2021 F-150 Platinum Powerstroke 3.0L Diesel 581E4912-C3E4-468B-B435-D55E5597552A

Nice, my smoked quartz, Lariat, FX4, powerstroke with max tow is currently on a slow train heading west to California. Hope to see it soon

It’ll be WELL WORTH the wait man. This thing tows like it’s nobody’s business. Ecoboost might be faster but this thing tows without having to smash on the engine and you get fairly good mileage. That peak torque at 1700 rpm makes a huge difference.

Did you recalibrate the speed odometer? or are you still running the factory settings?

the stock tire diameter is 33-34 inches; right? 275/60/20 not much a difference in tire height

I forget off hand what they actually measured. I'm running a 295/70R18 and they are substantially taller than stock. Forgot those actual measurements too, lol.

congrats. I should have gone Powerstroke instead of PowerBoost. Got sucked in by numbers and generator. Your mileage tells the story vs my 5.5 mpg towing 9,750 lbs.
