Hello,
I need help with my US-imported 2023 Lightning Lariat (via Copart) in Oman (7k miles). Facing critical issues:
1. FordPass & Cellular Failure:
- "Unable to Authorize" error persists after factory resets.
- Modem doesn’t connect to Omani networks (locked to AT&T).
- Zero OTA updates via Wi-Fi.
- Ford Oman refuses support ("US imports not serviced").
2. No Middle East Maps
- Only NA maps display; ME region option grayed out in SYNC 4.
Solutions I Seek:
1. FordPass Workaround:
- Success stories with modem replacement (GCC-spec)?
- Can FDRS programming force authorization?
- Any Wi-Fi-only fixes?
2. ME Maps Install:
- USB sideload possible?
- VIN region reprogramming?
